In preparation for assessment debrief, we ask you to begin working on the 360-degree feedback process. Although the debrief of your test will only take place when all responders have completed their work, it is essential that you begin this process now.
The value of the feedback sessions within the CLI/CLSI is highly dependent on the care and attention you put into the preparatory work.
Please select Observers/references that know you well and with whom you have had contact within the last two years. These persons should not be family members, but be Christians and need to know you personally and in a ministry context.
Please register your Observers/References (minimum of six for each of you—two ministers/supervisors, two peers/coworkers, two disciples/learners).
Please inform your Observers/References before registering them, and explain to them the context and the purpose of the process. As soon as we receive the list of your Observers/References, we will send them a notification email with instructions on how to proceed.
Observers/References for the CLI inventory remain anonymous. Reports will not be generated unless a minimum of three Observers/References respond.
You will be responsible to contact your observers/references to remind them to complete the survey. In addition to completing the questionnaire, you and your Observers/References will be asked to write comments online about your leadership abilities. Observers/References have the opportunity to describe what behaviors they think you should utilize, develop or eliminate. Please encourage your Observers/References to be forthcoming with comments as their remarks are extremely valuable.
The more realistic you can be in rating, the more in focus the resulting snapshot. Research evidence supports the conclusion that the most effective leaders are those who know themselves and make vocational decisions on the basis of their personal strengths and spiritual giftedness. Seeking honest feedback from observers who are well acquainted with the candidate strengthens self-perception and provides opportunities for development.
